My daughter was moving into her first apartment, and with her having my passion for cooking I knew she would need a good set of knives. She has been thrilled with these and uses them all the time. I got a chance to experience them myself recently when I visited and did some cooking for her. Weight and balance was good, and edges were sharp enough. For the price I feel these were an excellent choice and I would recommend them. Keep in mind these are not professional knives and I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea.
