An outstanding small knife. Wears very comfortably as a neck knife with a profile that is almost invisible under a full-cut tee-shirt. We all know about 1095 High Carbon Steel and the edge on the Scandi grind is very, very, very, sharp right out of the packaging. The tactile feel of the beautiful black micarta makes this knife feel really secure in my hand even though only the first three fingers grip it. The gimping on the spine is just about perfect. This knife will be very versitle and handle a wide variety of chores. The only thing I would change is to leave off the "traction coating" on the upper portion and spine of the blade. Plain or bead blasted would have been fine with me as I keep a thin coat of Frog Lube (http://www.amazon.com/Frog-Lube-Liquid-Bottle-4-Ounce/dp/B00579HNK4/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1409286922&sr=1-3&keywords=frog+lube) or olive oil on it at all times anyway.
