For soft cheeses like Gouda, a cheese plane is the best tool.These tools look nice and they can go in the dishwasher. I expect them to last a long time. There are no joints, just one solid piece and the handle is very comfortable and solid.I'm going to look and try to find a matching plane.We use these with the Final Touch FTA1901 Stainless Steel Cheese Markers and it took the cheese display to a whole new level. Paired with some crates and wood paddleboards it makes a wonderful and professional display out of any cheese! These tools felt good and are a great quality - definitely something that feels and looks more expensive than it actually is. They would be overkill for day to day cheese tools, but if you enjoy entertaining they are a great addition to your party decor!Nice feeling knives and they seem well made.These are a great addition to any cheese board or charcuterie board.
