I have been collecting knives for quite some time, some high end Spydercos, Protech, LionSteel, Chris Reeves among others and just a couple of years ago ran into Twosun knives. I purchased one of the earlier D2/Titanium models and it punched well above it's price point, fast forward to the present and Twosun has upped it's game dramatically with many new knife makers designing for them using the highest blade steels available (M390, s110v, s90, 14c28n) like Teppe, Wong, Night Morning and a few others. This one was designed by Night Morning and Neeve did a review on it stating it's build quality is matching Reate knives build quality...and it certainly does! I have the TS177 Maverick and TS261 Apex whose build quality is top notch but this models build is more solid, tank like, with a level of refinement that, well, matches Reate! The only thing it does not match the other two with is blade steel as the other two have s110v and M390 but Twosuns D2 is excellent so to me is not a factor. Most of Twosuns higher end knives have detent ramps hand machined onto each blade...what other knife makers incorporate this!? The detent is strong so when you use the thumb studs to open the blade whether using the thumb stud or a finger flick, the deployment is quick and snappy and unfailable that sounds like no other. This knife at this price point and much more expensive ones, outshines any other ones I have ever had the pleasure of handling. The blade rides on caged ceramic ball bearings that run on SS washers with racing grooves and the detent ball is also ceramic so the when closing is a smooth fall shut action. The titanium scales are chamfered adound the edges with deep milling patterns making the knife soft to hold.. Blades centering is impeccable. If you didn't know the manufacturer of this knife, you'd think it was a $600 custom built knife it's that good.
