Review #2 I previously rated these knives as 4/5, but have to downgrade that score to a 3/5. The knives throw great, no question about that. Love the design and feel. Unfortunately, the tips of these knives will not stand up to the pressure of repeated usage. The first three photos were taken when I got the knives, the last two were taken today after a couple of weeks of usage. As you can see, the tips of two of the knives have been damaged. I plan on filing them back to to an acceptable point, but I shouldn’t have to do that this soon for $300 knives. I would’ve given them the benefit of the doubt if only one of the knives ended up with a damaged point, but two damaged points indicate a systemic failure of some kind. Maybe it’s the type of steel they’re using, or an error made when they were initially forged? I don’t know. All I know is that throwing knives shouldn’t break down like this from use on wooden targets. I’ll continue using these knives and will provide further updates as required.- 3/5Review #1I wish to preface this review by saying that I’ve been throwing knives as a hobby for the past 9 years. These knives throw like none I’ve ever had before. I’d go even as far as saying that they’re more like tactical railroad spikes than throwing knives. They’re a lot heavier than entree level throwing knives and are three times as thick. On my first throw, I penetrated the wooden target I was using and the knife partially emerged from the back of the post I attached it to. They’ll take a bit of getting used to, but I absolutely love how much impact and penetration these knives have. To say I’m ecstatic to continue throwing these is an understatement. I believe that these knives will allow me to reach the next level of mastery in this sport. These knives are for people who have the experience to know how to utilize them to their full potential. Beginners should seriously consider buying a cheaper set of knives because these will chew them up and spit them out. Familiarize yourself with throwing and determine whether the sport is for you before spending $300. As fantastic as these knives are, I do have a few complaints. One of the knives I received came in with a scuffed tip (as shown in the third picture). I found this when examining the knives before throwing them and found that it doesn’t affect the performance of the knife. Additionally, the knives appear to have pores in them from when they were initially forged. Also, it appears that the tips of the knives are ever-so slightly uneven. For $300 I expected them to be in pristine condition, but I’ll live with it. These knives are still awesome. I’d also appreciate it if they made holsters for them. They don’t need to be included with the knife, but making them available on the store would be appreciated. All in all, I’m satisfied with this transaction and am glad to have these unique knives in my possession. There are some things that AceJet could be doing better, but I believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt for now. I’m excited to see where this company goes as they acquire more experience and look forwards to purchasing new sets they produce in the future.- 4/5
