Surprisingly great knife, its my new favorite. This is by no means a super high quality knife. It was okay sharp out of the box and the refinement is a little lacking (to be expected for the price). Some of the edges have burs and the handle has a hairline crack. It took a good edge and a little file work took care of the burs. That being said, this thing feels as solid as a tank. I was able to chop 2-3" branches and baton logs with no sign of wear to the blade. The handle has held up fine, so far. The knife is large but the handle is comfortable in my hands. The sheath is made of tough leather. I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a good worker without the guilt of wearing out an expensive blade.Edit:Not as solid as originally thought. It held up gerat the first couple of uses but after some very serious batoning the edge warped like a wave. On top of that the handle came lose. The glue came loose and I was able to push the pins right out. I also could not get it to through good sparks with a Farro rod, even after working the spine to a nice 90° angle. To be fair I was beating the crap out of it just to see how durable it actually was. I'll fix the blade and handle and keep using it but at least I know its limits now.It Blew me away. I collect knives. I felt like I was Robbing them! Get it! You will not be disappointed with it! Great Knife and Leather sheath! In simple terms ... get it !-)This blade was so much better than I had thought it would be. It feels really good in you hand, sharp, and the case is spot on. My Grandpa would always show me how sharp his knives were after sharpening them by shaving hairs off his hand. First thing I did was pull it out and have a try. Well now bald spot on my hand and all I am super happy. One more thing, the weight of the knife is so nice. Not at all flimsy or out of balance.I purchased this as a replacement for my camping knife; I have no concerns about using this bad boy for whatever and whenever. Well done!!Came wrapped up nicely. Blade was piled and fairly sharp. Only issue I noticed was that after sharpening with a 5000 grit stone there was a small nick in the blade itself. Will see if it holds up after some heavy use .Knife came really dull. However it was very easy to sharpen to a near razor edge.Heavy, solid and durable. Nice curve in the blade. A miniature chopper. Put the blade in some vinegar overnight to give it a patina. Put a thin layer of food oil; olive, corn or sunflower after and you won't have any rust issues. I'm starting to like this and another similar Pakistan made blade more and more. They're definitely handmade. The slight imperfections give these blades character. The knife shapes are not as refined as some other, namebrand ones, but the quality is in the product. Lots of iron. Strong and primitive. You'll like it.The quality of this knife far exceeds it's price point. Should make a great bush knife. Well made. No gaps between handle and blade. Nice blade grind. Blade is THICK and hollow ground. Fairly sharp out of the box but I like mine sharper. Takes a keen edge. Sheath is thick, sturdy and well made. Overall has an old school rustic look. Been collecting knives for over 45 years. This ones not a collector type knife, no blade tang stamp. I bought this it as a beater camping knife. It is far better than I expected. Packing was phenomenal. Knife was oiled and wrapped in sheath and wrapped again. Guess they didn't want any rust to sneak in of the 1095 high carbon steel before it got to the customer. If lost I would buy another.Excellent sheath. This knife is heavy and feels real tight. It’s a worker tool for sure. I don’t know how it sharpens or holds a edge cause it was sharp enough when I got it. It looks like good steal. It’s a thick blade. This is a good camper knife and what I believe will be a good butcher knife. It doesn’t fall out of the sheath and even fits snug enough to keep it in place without without falling out. Even has will partially hold in the sheath for ease of use when constant using. It’s a good knife and the price I mean forget about it, it’s good.
