After taking this out with me quite a few adventures I can say that this is probably the best machete I've owned I've used it to clear several miles of thorny trails I have used it to dig fire pits I have also used the saw most recently to cut down a standing dead tree to create a makeshift bridge across a creek The blade itself has an excellent temper and flexes back to true no matter how hard I have abused it but really The handle is where this machete shines it's made by molding the handle material directly around a full tang it even has what I would consider a bit of a cross guard on it which helps keep your hand from sliding forward the ergonomics are spectacular for a machete and whatever polymer the handle is made out of absorbs the shock like no other machete I've ever used not to mention the security I feel taking this out with me I frequently hike and hunt in an areas of Arizona where it is common for drugrunners ,human traffickers,Mountain lions coyotes, rattlesnakes etc. to frequent and other than a firearm I believe there are few things more intimidating to man or beast than a man with with a menacing looking machete in his hand granted this is not a cheap machete but I cannot see a way that I am going to end up destroying this so it's basically it's going to end up being a one time purchase I don't see this thing not outlasting me !Very nice looking, just not what I expected. It was much heavier than I anticipated, and the blade was not very sharp when delivered. Spots on the blade started to bend over after a few good whacks, but still a good knife for clearing brush and small limbs.nice machete, condor has a great name and i see why high carbon steel blade with a nice black finish and a good sheath my only gripe is the sawback is not sharp at all. This a Excellent machete. Put this your bug out bag. It is made out 1075 steel. It has a serrated spine for added utility. Condor machetes are the best machetes out there. Cold steel have the best swords but I like the 1075 steel that Condor uses for the machetes, over the 1055 that Cold steel uses. F,Pena.Kind of a thin spine for my taste, a little too much flex and not enough weight for me. That said it's pretty sharp and the grip is great, I'm sure it'll do small jobs just fine.works well.Solid machete. Works very well for chopping and the saw isnt half bad. Blade comes a little dull it seems, but after using it the first time it actually has a pretty good edge on it. Wish it were full tang but it seems to be good quality and I dont think that I will have any problems with durability. Goof flexibilty in the blade and well balanced.Nice productJust what I expected, solid machete, handle come a bit slippery but nothing that some hockey tape can't take care of.
